Abraham Moss Library is currently being redeveloped. Our temporary home can be found close to Abraham Moss High School car park, and is a place for the whole family.
We are a self-serve library conveniently located on the corner of Stockport Road and Yew Tree Avenue. We share our fantastic new building with Arcadia Leisure Centre.
This ultra modern library and learning centre is the place to come for films (on DVD) and for books, free Wi-Fi and internet-ready computers as well as leisure classes and meeting rooms.
There’s always something going on here because we’re part of Barlow Moor Community Association’s fantastic building opposite Merseybank Avenue shops. Thanks to volunteer support we can open 36 hours a week.
We’re in a wonderful, bright, modern glass-fronted library with light flooding in to the beautifully equipped building we share with the East Manchester Academy. No dusty books or ‘quiet please’. Locals are welcome. Just walk in the doors and drink in the atmosphere.
This cornerstone of Chorlton life is a gem that was funded by Scottish-American benefactor Andrew Carnegie in 1914. It’s a listed building, protected forever from demolition and bad redevelopment.
Manchester’s most diverse and bustling neighbourhood deserves a library to match. So if your morning paper is in Bangla or Urdu, we’ve got it. If you like your picture books in Polish, we have some. If you like your fiction in Farsi, we’ve got that too.
